Vredenburg Leeuwenbergh

Vredenburg Leeuwenbergh presents unamplified chamber music, jazz and world music concerts. But there is also room for experimental music and young talent. Vredenburg Leeuwenbergh can accommodate 250 people. De Leeuwenbergh was built in 1567 as a hostel to isolate plague victims, though it was never served in that capacity. It was used by the French army and the university, and for a time served as a church.
De Leeuwenbergh lies in the city center of Utrecht. A walk to de Leeuwenbergh from Central Station passes through the old center of Utrecht and takes about twenty minutes. There is a parking garage nearby on the Kruisstraat and a bus (line 2, the Museumkwartier loop) stops not even a five-minute walk from de Leeuwenbergh.
